It’s with great excitement that I announce the second annual #bundleoflove workshop!
What is #bundleoflove?
It’s a collaboration between Ashley Green of Love Letters 2 Strangers and myself (Jasmine Franklin of #bundleupyeg) to create a workshop where Edmontonians can write love letters (for strangers, or, someone you know) and also donate clothing to be delivered to homeless shelters throughout the city.
Ashley is the heart and soul behind Love Letters 2 Strangers. She began Love Letters in 2011 and created a movement within Edmonton that spreads kindness through the written word. She is an inspiring and uplifting woman who continues to make our city a better place.
The first #bundleoflove workshop was held on Dec. 7, 2014 and it was a truly magical day. Roughly 50 people joined us at Cory Christopher design studios in Edmonton to create hundreds of beautiful love letters. During this workshop, 40 bags of clothing was generously donated to #bundleupyeg.
#bundleoflove in 2015
Last year’s workshop was such a success that we’ve decided to team up for a second time and bring #bundleoflove back in 2015.
If you’re looking for a unique way to spend an afternoon, come experience #bundleoflove on Dec. 12 for a day filled with lots of love, crafting and a chance to donate warm winter clothing for those in our city most in need.
